Dolcevita Villas – Ultimate Italian Holiday Experience
BRIEF:
DVV is one of the precursors of Air B&B. Only very high profile villas exclusively in Italy. The 90% foreign target needed to capture that dreamy image that surrounds an Italian vacation. The website must also have an educational function. Renting a house should put you in touch with the place you choose. An elegant and easy to use site, especially in the booking process.
ART DIRECTION:
Fundamental to the branding was a fixed banner on all pages with a slogan and a very evocative image of Italy (farmhouse in the Tuscan countryside) immediately after the logo.The sections are divided by color, borrowed from the landscapes of Umbria, the sea of Sardinia, the stone of Puglia, etc.. The color of the background is a sand that makes the site soft and welcoming. A lot of care was taken in the choice of images that tell about the regions where the villas are located. The differences should be obvious at first glance  once you enter the region, all the villas are present. The colors, the scents, the flavors so different from the Italian regions can be sensed even before renting the villa.
INTERFACE DESIGN:
Service menu well in evidence. While to enter the world of villas, some cards positioned in grid. The houses are chosen through the regions in which you want to stay. Very important on the Homepage to have an outline map of Italy with the regions indicated.Moreover, tourists often don’t know their way around a country. They do not know the peculiarities of each region. That is, the part dedicated to the owners where they can follow up on reservations and enter prices and information. The wealth of information is well laid out and ordered
+ CONCEPT:
Each villa is well geolocated. Google maps still far away. Important for tourists to understand exactly in which part of Italy they are.The region is always marked within an outline of Italy, and is always present in the sections.
