ACI Automobil Club Italia – Virtual Regional Office
BRIEF :
ACI, the historic Italian Automobile Club, needed to offer a virtual office where you
can perform a variety of car services while remaining comfortably at home. This was a brand new service for the time and people where used to this.
The user interface had to be simple but have a fresh and contemporary impact. The structure is a portal to accommodate a lot of information in an orderly and intuitive way.
ART  DIRECTION:
My idea was to create  a fantasy  image of this new virtual office. Imagine a new, functional and modern space but with real users inside.
So I created through images “collage” in photoshop of real office rooms with people inside. Nothing to do with the dusty Italian office rooms. But places of high visual impact, where it is a pleasure to stay and solve problems quickly, remotely.
INTERFACE DESIGN:
The structure of the website is that of a portal. There is a lot of documentation you can browse and download. Some procedures need to be illustrated with the various steps. My task is to make all the many information easily accessible and clearly arranged. Crucial to make the search bar work well. I differentiated the operational sections with very bright colors: red orange green. For the rest of the institutional blue I afficanto a cyan and an electric blue .
+ CONCEPT:
To make the photos of the virtual offices more ethereal, I added a texture of tiny semi-transparent dots. The feeling of looking through frosted glass adds movement and innovation.
